Two people, a father and son, have been placed on the register of suspects for manslaughter in connection with the death of Margaret Spada, a 22-year-old girl from the province of Syracuse who died following rhinoplasty surgery. The two suspects, who are also the owners of a medical center in Rome, are accused of responsibility in the death of the young woman, which occurred shortly after local anesthesia was administered. During the investigation, it emerged that no documents or medical records related to the surgery were found at the facility. According to the reconstruction by investigators under the supervision of prosecutor Erminio Amelio, the girl had arrived in Rome on November 4 together with her boyfriend to undergo the operation. The medical center had been chosen by the young woman after seeing an advertisement on TikTok. The clinic, which was seized, contained no documentation related to the surgery, and there was no record of the informed consent signed by the girl. In addition, the center, located in the EUR district, was without an external license plate or sign. An autopsy is now awaited to accurately determine the cause of death, which occurred on November 7. Investigators also seized medical records from Sant'Eugenio Hospital, where the girl had been transferred in serious condition and where she died after four days of agony.
