"Italy intends to continue doing its part. We have already allocated a significant portion of the Climate Fund's more than four billion euros to the African continent and will continue to support projects such as the Green Climate Fund and the Loss and Damage Fund, as well as to encourage the participation of multilateral development banks. However, it is equally important that the decarbonization process considers the sustainability of our social and production systems". These are the words of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who spoke in Baku at the 29th Conference of the Parties on Climate. "Nature must be defended with man at the center", she continued. "An overly ideological and non-pragmatic approach to this issue risks leading us away from success. Technological neutrality is the appropriate course of action, as there is presently no single alternative to fossil fuel supply".
