Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani was the recipient of a threatening letter sent by a self-styled pro-Palestinian group. The missive was delivered to the Deputy Prime Minister's office at Palazzo Chigi. The letter, which purports to be a "warning", announces plans to use armed force starting today, November 15, to "strike at the interests of the State of Israel", accused in the missive of war crimes and genocide. The stated targets would include embassies, museums and gatherings around the world. The missive calls on the governments of the United States, Britain, Germany, France and, of course, Italy to cease their political, economic and military support for Israel in light of the "crimes committed against the Palestinian people, including the killing to date of more than 50,000 innocent children, women and elderly people and the wounding of more than 200,000 people”.
