A 32-year-old officer, Amar Kudin, on duty at Rome's Primavalle police station, died last night in the crash between two police cars that occurred around 5 a.m. in the Monte Mario area: four were injured, including three officers and one detained. Amar, who was of Croatian origin but had been in Italy since a very young age, played rugby playing for the Civitavecchia team. "In a serious traffic accident Amar, a young policeman, died. With Giada they were taking a man stopped with burglary tools to the office. The State Police huddles in an emotional embrace to the family members. Goodbye Amar," the State Police wrote on X, "In the impact between the two squad cars, three officers, Giada, Daniele and Carmine, and the stopped man sustained serious injuries and were hospitalized. Best of luck to them for a speedy recovery".
