Giorgia Meloni flew to Argentina for a bilateral meeting with President Javier Milei. Upon arrival at Casa Rosada, the seat of the Argentine government, the Prime Minister was warmly greeted with hugs and smiles by Karina Milei, sister of the President and Secretary General of the Presidency. Afterwards, the two leaders moved to the Salon Blanco for the official photo and then looked out together onto the balcony of the Plaza de Mayo, where they warmly greeted the cheering crowd. During the meeting, which was marked by exchanges of jokes and confident gestures, such as pats on the back and whispers in the ear, Meloni and Milei shared familiar moments. Before heading to the Casa Rosada, the Prime Minister paid her respects in Buenos Aires and laid a wreath at the monument of José de San Martín, "El Libertador", a symbol of the independence of Argentina, Chile and Peru.
