His escape from Bollate prison (Milan) lasted six months. A 41-year-old man, considered one of the leaders of the underworld gravitating around the "White Houses" in Milan, was arrested while celebrating his birthday. He was with his wife at a restaurant when Police intervened. The man, of Roma ethnicity but originally from Campania, had last been arrested on August 16, 2022. He has a long list of criminal records, including theft, drug trafficking, receiving stolen property, possession and carrying of weapons, and perjury. He still had eight years left to serve in Bollate when he managed to escape last June. Taking advantage of his work in the prison workshop, the inmate, nicknamed "The Cat", had evaded surveillance, jumped the boundary wall and lost his trail. Investigations confirmed that, during his absconding, he never left the provinces of Milan and Brianza.
