The US, France and the UK have allowed Ukraine to use their weapons in Russia. According to a survey conducted by Termometro Politico study center, for 42.5% of Italians the decision is totally negative: "It is a dangerous and unconscionable act, which endangers both Ukrainians and Russian civilians as well as the rest of Europe," is the respondents' thinking. This is echoed by 16.6% who believe that "Perhaps it would have been understandable at the beginning, but now it is only counterproductive, it pushes away a peaceful conclusion to the conflict". Overall, nearly 6 in 10 Italians respond negatively to the intention to use Western weapons in Russia. On the other hand, for 19.5%, the decision "is right, as long as no Western personnel are directly involved and only military targets are hit". Finally, 18.9% of people believe that the use of weapons against Russia is right "and should have been allowed long ago. Italy should also do the same".
