Citizens can now use the first phase of It-Wallet, an innovative feature that allows them to upload digital versions of some personal documents directly into the "Wallet" area of the IO app. A driver's licence, health insurance card (also known as a European Health Insurance Card), and the European Disability Card are among the documents accessible. "With the introduction of the first phase of IT-Wallet, a real digital revolution begins for our country", stated Alessio Butti, Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in charge of technological innovation. The program is a step toward the efficiency and digitization of public services in Italy.
