On December 4, Amazon flew the first drone delivery test flight in Italy, over San Salvo, Abruzzo. The company employed the new MK-30 drone, an autonomous device with powerful computer vision technology that can avoid obstacles and protect people and property. The drone, which has a range of 24 kilometers and a payload capacity of up to 2.5 kg, carried an Echo Spot smart alarm clock to a home near the San Salvo distribution facility. The test was carried out with ENAC approval and in collaboration with ENAV. Amazon plans to debut the drone delivery service in Italy next year, after getting the necessary certifications.
