A 19-year-old Kenyan national, who resides in Carugate (Milan), was apprehended at Orio al Serio airport (Bergamo) while attempting to depart for Syria with the intention of joining Isis. The young woman is being accused of enlisting for the purpose of international terrorism. The judge for preliminary investigations verified the arrest, which occurred on November 30, and ordered pre-trial custody in prison. According to the investigators, the decision to depart would have occurred at the conclusion of a radicalization process uncovered by an investigation began in October. The monitoring of online jihadist surroundings has resulted in the discovery of a social profile used to distribute radical propaganda films. The woman wearing the niqab in the videos was later identified as a 19-year-old Kenyan.
