Sister Anna Donelli, a nun, is one of 25 people arrested as a result of the Brescia Public Prosecutor's Office's investigation into an alleged criminal group related to the 'ndrangheta. According to the allegations, the nun would have been "available to the association to ensure the connection with the associates detained in prison". Among those detained are Giovanni Acri, a former Brescia city councilor for Fratelli d'Italia, and Mauro Galeazzi, a former League representative in the Municipality of Castel Mella who was previously convicted for bribery before being freed from prison and acquitted. Both are now under house arrest.
