Armani opens a restaurant in Manhattan's Upper East Side neighborhood and brings the Italian designer's lifestyle to the New York culinary scene. Located on Madison avenue between 65th and 66th, it is the new destination for a gastronomic experience of Italian cuisine with a focus on the quality of raw materials. The à la carte offerings celebrate Giorgio Armani's childhood recipes, complemented by city-inspired dishes and cocktails that round out the menu. "New York is the metropolis of continuous reinvention," comments Giorgio Armani. "This opening is an important personal milestone because it concretizes my vision of style in the city that perhaps first really embraced it". The new building unites the Armani boutique, restaurant, dedicated Armani/Home Space, and a number of private apartments, and concludes a project begun years ago with his team of architects.
