In free practice in Abu Dhabi, Charles and Arthur Leclerc took to the track together with Ferrari. It is the first time in F1 history that two brothers drive for the same team at the same time in an official session. Charles, 27, is the Scuderia's starting driver from 2019. Arthur, 24, has been a test driver for Maranello since this season and will be a reserve driver in the next one. He attended, like his brother, the Driver Academy, the Cavallino's talent school. For the Leclerc family, speed is a family affair. Starting with dad Hervé, a former GP3 driver who passed away in 2017. He used to take his children to karts, including the eldest, Lorenzo, who now works in finance. Mother Pascale, a hairdresser, has a salon in Monte Carlo. With the two Leclercs on board, that makes 20 sibling pairs in F1. The most famous pair, of course, is Michael and Ralf Schumacher: 97 successes between them, 91 those of Michael. They also contested the 2003 title, which Michael won in the Ferrari. Two other famous brothers: Emerson and Wilson Fittipaldi (2 titles, 14 wins and 281 points against a single point). Plus: Jody and Ian Scheckter, Jackie and Jimmy Stewart. But the first brothers on the track together were Graham and Peter Whitehead at Silverstone in 1952.
