Two authentic pages from the first edition of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, dating back to the 14th century, have been found during relocation work at the La Spezia State Archives. Breaking the news was the city's mayor, Pierluigi Peracchini, via the local edition of Il Secolo XIX. "These are two authentic pages from the cantos of Purgatorio and Paradiso, belonging to the original Pax Dantis," said the first citizen, stressing the importance of this discovery for the history of Italian literature.
