The Council of Ministers has approved the Milleproroghe Decree, the traditional year-end measure that postpones legislative terms and deadlines in several areas. Among the main measures are a halt to fines for the unvaccinated and an extension of the tax shield for doctors. The decree also gives more time for businesses to comply with mandatory insurance against natural disasters and extends by one year the possibility of entering into fixed-term contracts beyond 12 months with simplified reasons. Ranging from Public Administration to health, from tourism to justice, the government stresses that the text is more streamlined than in previous years and was approved in record time ahead of the end of the year.
