Rome mourns a nine-year-old girl who died following a probable allergic reaction after consuming a dish of gnocchi at a restaurant. The little girl felt ill immediately after the meal and, initially transported to Policlinico Casilino, was then rushed to Policlinico Gemelli, where she died despite attempts to save her life. According to initial speculation, the cause of the reaction could be related to a wheat allergy. The child's parents have consented to organ donation. Health and judicial authorities are now conducting investigations to clarify the dynamics of the events.
