The amendment to the Maneuver proposing a salary increase for non-parliamentary ministers is likely to be withdrawn. The decision follows a request by Defense Minister Guido Crosetto, who called it "absurd" to continue to leave room for controversy over the proposal. The measure, filed in the budget committee by the rapporteurs, aimed to equalize the compensation and expense reimbursements of non-parliamentary ministers and undersecretaries with those of MPs. On X, Crosetto wrote, "It is absurd to leave even more space for controversy on the amendment that equalized all ministers and non-parliamentary undersecretaries, to deputies, recognizing expense reimbursements”.
