Speaking in the Chamber of Deputies ahead of the European Council, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni rejected claims of Italy's international isolation, emphasizing that "the facts prove the exact opposite". According to the premier, our country plays a significant role in the major global processes, a reality acknowledged by international observers. Meloni then emphasized how this development, regardless of political allegiance, represents a source of national pride: "This is a positive change that should make every sincere Italian proud". Referring to the upcoming European Council, the first since the new commissioners took office, Meloni expressed satisfaction with Italy’s role. "I can proudly say: mission accomplished. Raffaele Fitto is a highly regarded politician in both Italy and Europe, a recognition that reflects our nation's significance within Europe".
