Rome is preparing for an unprecedented challenge for the Jubilee of 2025, with an estimated influx of 30-35 million pilgrims. This was announced by Agostino Miozzo, Coordinator of the Jubilee’s hospitality and assistance services. "We’re talking about 90 million pilgrim-days, in addition to regular tourists. Rome could host between 300,000 and 500,000 people daily, significantly impacting the city and surrounding areas", Miozzo noted, emphasizing the need for synergistic collaboration between institutions and operators to handle the logistical pressure effectively. The Jubilee program includes 35 major thematic events, such as jubilees for the elderly, children, workers, and immigrants. Among the most demanding moments will be a youth gathering expected to bring one million young people to Rome over 4-5 days. Miozzo also confirmed that numerous construction sites intended to enhance city mobility are currently nearing completion, ensuring that the capital will be more hospitable to the "people of God" who will be arriving.
