The use of artificial intelligence to monitor high-risk patients hospitalized with heart disease can cut mortality by up to 31% and diagnose a heart attack in 37 seconds, demonstrating AI's tremendous potential for cardiovascular diagnosis, monitoring, and management. As a result, the Italian Society of Cardiology (SIC) has recently released guidelines on the use of AI in cardiology, emphasizing its utility, for example, in the early detection of disorders such as hypertension or heart failure. The utilization of AI will be necessary to enhance the accuracy of electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, MRIs, and CT scans, in order to more effectively diagnose and monitor patients.
