Jubilee 2025 and Winter Olympics 2026 are two events that, because of their international significance, represent exceptional potential for Italian tourism. The Jubilee is about to begin: on December 24, the Pope will open the Holy Door of St. Peter's and close it on January 6, 2026. Rome expects millions of pilgrims and faithful, some traveling on foot, some on pilgrimages organized by churches and dioceses worldwide, and others coming individually with their families or communities. Rome will serve as a destination, and Italy as a vast hub of hospitality and discovery. The entire country is involved in this great Church event, which is expected to attract 35 million tourist arrivals, generating 105 million stays and doubling the expected flows, with tourism expenditures amounting to €16.7 billion. For the Olympics, which will take place between Milan and Cortina, 513,000 arrivals are expected (+34% compared to the same period in 2023), totaling 1.8 million stays and tourism spending of €281 million.
