The Alpine Skiing World Cup returns to Europe and Sofia Goggia continues to enchant. After her second place in the downhill and her triumph in the super-G in Beaver Creek, the Italian skier flies on the snow of St. Moritz (Switzerland) and climbs to the bottom step of the podium in the first of the two super-Gs of the Swiss weekend. Splendid, especially in the central sector of the Corviglia, the 32-year-old from Bergamo signs the time of 1:15.51 that is worth the third position. Austria's Cornelia Huetter triumphed (1:15.18), second was Swiss host Lara Gut-Behrami (1:15.36). “This is always a super-G to interpret, with a lot of bumps, blind spots, and very rough terrain,” the Italian said at the end of the race, “We have to trust our line: for my part I didn't ski very well, I felt more tense than last week. It was not easy to understand the snow condition: there is always an aggressive bottom here and I would need more time to adapt. After Beaver Creek I couldn't ski anymore except in the race, apart from one lap in the open field. Today was a very particular snow, it was tracked as a 'giant' and being only a meter longer in the turns makes you slow down. Huetter was very fast everywhere, me at times, but after the injury I like to live day by day. Three podiums in three races? That's not bad at all: clearly I know that compared to how I skied today there is some margin. But that's okay, the first pancake never turns out the best”.
