San Remo is preparing to celebrate 120 years of the casino, a cultural, historical and tourist symbol of the city. From Tuesday, January 14 to Saturday, January 18, the date that marks the official opening of the gambling house in 1905, a series of events open to the public will enliven the Opera House and other iconic venues. For five days, San Remo will offer a varied and free program: concerts to theatrical performances, dances and thematic conferences, all under the banner of a dialogue between tradition and innovation. The highlight of the festivities. The most anticipated event will be held on Saturday, January 18, at 6:30 p.m., with a performance by the San Remo Symphony Orchestra, an institution that shares historical roots with the casino. For the occasion, the orchestra will also perform the piece that was featured in the original opening, evoking the atmosphere of early 20th-century San Remo, and pay tribute to Vivaldi. In 2024, the casino grossed 52 million euros and earned 12 million euros.
