Italy is the world's leading pasta-producing nation, with nearly 4 million tons per year (3.67 million tons) - followed by the United States (2 million tons), Turkey (1.9 million tons), Egypt (1.20 million tons) and Brazil (1.15 million tons) - and with a turnover approaching 7 billion euros. More than 60% of the pasta produced in our country is destined for foreign markets, with more than 2.2 million tons in 2023 (including 1.5 million tons destined for the EU).
