The link between undiagnosed celiac disease and adverse outcomes in pregnancy is well known; however, there remains a "gray area" regarding the management of the gluten-free diet during conception, pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is a gap that an international panel, led by Fondazione IRCCS Ca' Granda-Milano, Reference Center for Prevention and Diagnosis of Celiac Disease and Clinica Mangiagalli, has begun working on. The project aims to identify a pathway to ensure the correct nutritional requirements in women on a gluten-free diet during this delicate phase of their lives. This important project is supported and made possible thanks to a grant from the Anton Schar Foundation.
