With 51.4 million presences and 22.2 million arrivals, Rome in 2024 set its own historical record on tourism. As revealed by the numbers of the Bilateral Tourism Board of Lazio, the capital recorded +4.5% in presences and +5.63% in arrivals, if compared to the record achieved in 2023. “Rome is increasingly the Capital of tourism,” commented Mayor Roberto Gualtieri, "This new record fills us with pride and confirms that we are going in the right direction. With major events, both cultural and sporting, we have given tourists of various age groups new reasons to visit Rome or to return. We will continue on this path, further improving the quality of the tourist offer and enhancing the city, making it more and more attractive and welcoming".
