Pompeii surprises again, and this time by bringing to light a bath complex with an adjoining banquet hall in a private domus. In the baths, which could seat up to 30 people, there are calidarium, tepidarium and frigidarium (hot, warm and cold room) and also a dressing room (apodyterium). The decorations on the walls suggest that the mansion belonged to a very rich and influential family that used to surprise guests by making them relax. Last year there were 4,069,377 visitors to Pompeii: breaking through the 4 million mark for the first time. Revenues amounted to 55.3 million euros; 30 new construction sites.
