Gas stocks in Italy and Europe have fallen below 70% and 61%, respectively, following a period of intense cold weather that has hit the continent. According to Gas Infrastructure Europe, European stocks are at 60.97%, or 699.76 TWh, 20% of the average annual consumption of 3,495.22 TWh. Italy is at 69.66%, with 139.37 TWh, corresponding to 20.68% of the average annual consumption of 673.87 TWh. In Germany, stocks are at 65.03%, or 163.56 TWh, representing 18.79% of the average annual consumption of 879.13 TWh. February gas futures fell 1.04% to 46.39 euros per MWh in Amsterdam's main virtual market, the TTF.
