Italian wine is keeping up with export growth, with a new all-time high expected by the end of 2024. Meanwhile, in the first ten months of the year just concluded, shipments of Italian wines abroad surpassed 6.74 billion euros, an increase of +5.7% over the same period in 2023, for a total of 1.8 billion liters, up +3.6%. A trend that, if sustained in the final two months of the year, would raise the total to over 8.1 billion euros. A gain in value linked above all, but not exclusively, to sparkling wines, which, in ten months, are near to the value of 2 billion euros (1.97 billion), up 9.6%, and exceed 460.7 million liters, up 12.7%. A 29% increase in value and a 26% increase in quantity is observed in the weight of sparkling wine in general wine exports. In terms of value performance, the United States is widely accepted as the top partner market for Italian wineries, with a gain of +8.2% in the first ten months of the year, equivalent to 1.59 billion euros in value. Germany's total is also rising, reaching 980 million euros, an increase of 4.3%. The United Kingdom is holding steady, with a gain of 1.8% to 708 million euros. Canada performed admirably, increasing its revenues by 18% to 385 million euros.
