In Piacenza, anyone wishing to use a town hall must sign an official declaration committing to upholding the norms of the Italian Constitution and condemning fascist, racist, and sexist behaviors, which are considered typical of totalitarian ideologies. According to the daily "Libertà," the city council has adopted a new ordinance that would establish the so-called "anti-fascist seal". The measure will control collaborations, sponsorships, and the use of municipal premises for events hosted by residents, bodies, committees, and associations. For the first time in fourteen years, the regulation has been amended to reflect new regulatory developments. This effort seeks to foster respect for democratic norms while also preventing behavior associated with extreme ideologies.
