Until just a few years ago, winter was a time of pause for hiking. Recently, winter trekking to discover nature has involved more and more enthusiasts. It's happening in Maremma Park, where winter tourism is growing. So much so that it is practically doubling. Reading the data of tickets sold in the winter months and made available now, what is surprising are the percentage changes from the previous year, which in some cases exceed 100%. There are 1505 tickets sold in November 2024 (adding 1437 tickets from the itineraries and 68 online tickets), and 1447 tickets sold in December 2024 (so 3 thousand people in the two months), compared to 764 tickets sold in November 2023 and 968 in December 2023 (1732 visitors in the two months). What is the reason for such a large difference? For Maremma Park President Simone Rusci, there are several reasons. “In the Park's appeal as a hiking destination, the good weather and mild temperatures have certainly had an impact”.
