Federico Olivieri, aka Olly, is the winner of the 75th edition of the Sanremo Festival. The 23-year-old singer-songwriter from Genoa took first place with "Balorda nostalgia" (“Foolish nostalgia”), a song he wrote and composed together with Pierfrancesco Pasini and JVLI, his longtime collaborator and producer. Born in Genoa in 2001, Olly grew up in a family of legal experts - his father is a lawyer while his mother is a magistrate - but chose the path of music early on. He studied at the Niccolò Paganini Conservatory in his hometown before moving to Milan, where he graduated in Economics and Business Management. His music career began in 2016, but the turning point came in 2022 with Sanremo Giovani, which opened doors for him to the Festival the following year. In 2023, while finishing 24th, his song "Polvere" (“Dust”) went platinum, marking the beginning of a climb to success. Since then he has collected hits such as “Devastante” ("Devastating") and the duet “Per due come noi” ("For two like us") with Angelina Mango, winner of Sanremo 2024. Besides music, his great passions are rugby and Sampdoria soccer club.
