An imperceptible sound that becomes a message of peace: the project "The Mute Echoes of a Great Sound Sculpture - St. Peter's Bell" has landed in Venice, inaugurating the Globalization Program of Venice International University (VIU) on the island of San Servolo. The sound installation, conceived by U.S. sound artist Bill Fontana and promoted by Ambassador Umberto Vattani, transforms the inaudible vibrations of St. Peter's Bell into an immersive experience. At St. Peter's, they will be broadcast throughout the Jubilee Year through twelve loudspeakers, while four loudspeakers have been installed in Venice, offering VIU students and guests a unique listening moment. The project, made possible thanks to the support of St. Peter's Basilica, Enel, the FS Italiane Group and Meyer Sound, will accompany the faithful as they pass through the Holy Door in 2025, weaving art, technology and spirituality into a boundless experience.
