Milan prosecutors have ordered an autopsy on the body of Carmine Gallo, the former super cop who died suddenly at his home in Garbagnate (Milan), where he was under house arrest for the Equalize investigation. Officially it is reported to be a heart attack, but investigators want to rule out other hypotheses, including suicide. Investigations will look at medications taken, last meals, and toxicological tests will be conducted. Gallo, a former top investigator involved in the cyber espionage network that monitored 800,000 people, was cooperating with justice. His records may include references to contacts with AISI and CIA. His wife reported that on the morning of his death she was expecting him for breakfast, but he never got up. Carabinieri seized his cell phone, his wife's cell phone, some medications and food found in the house. Meanwhile, his position will be dropped from the investigation. It remains to be seen whether his death is really a case or whether there is more behind it.
