The Vivienne Westwood group, which includes operating companies in England, Italy, France, and America, ended the year with a turnover of $250 million. Now, the brand has decided to strengthen its engagement with Italy. Beginning next month, the esteemed CEO Carlo D'Amario will relocate to Milan, and Andreas Kronthaler, the creative director of the maison, will also relocate for the first time. The historic London headquarters will continue to house the atelier with the design team, as well as offices dedicated to marketing, sales, and communications. In addition to its historic Milanese headquarters in Corso Venezia, the maison currently occupies 500 square meters in Via Serbelloni. "In the last five years we have reorganized the company by keeping the production chain under control in Italy and abroad, Milan is growing and we have decided to invest further and move here in person," D'Amario stated. The news for the city doesn’t end there: beginning in April, an atelier dedicated to Vivienne Westwood's bridal line will open on the first level of the building in Corso Venezia, similar to ones already in London and Paris flagships.
