Rome, March 12 – In the "complexity of the general picture", Pope Francis' condition has "remained stationary". This was revealed on Wednesday evening by the Holy See Press in the most recent update on the pontiff's hospitalization at the Gemelli polyclinic in Rome since February 14. The chest X-ray done on Tuesday "confirmed”, reads the press release, “radiologically the improvements recorded in the previous days". The declaration also states that the pope continues to use high-flow oxygen therapy during the day and non-invasive mechanical ventilation during the night. It also mentions that on Wednesday morning, after following the Spiritual Exercises remotely from the Paul VI Hall, he received the Eucharist, "devoted himself to prayer, and subsequently engaged in motor physiotherapy". In the afternoon, after joining the Curia's Spiritual Exercises, he "continued to pray, rest, and undergo respiratory physiotherapy".
