"In Caivano, we have demonstrated that the State is capable of honoring a commitment made to its citizens by exerting will, perseverance, and determination. In a complex territory that had been abandoned and neglected for decades, we assured honest and decent individuals that they could once again trust the State and that we would be there to support them". Thus, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni addressed the gathering at Palazzo Chigi to evaluate the details of the Extraordinary Plan for Caivano, the Neapolitan municipality that has emerged as a symbol of redemption from the Camorra. "We have re-emphasized safety and legality, because without them, there is no freedom, no potential of carrying out redevelopment operations, and no preconditions for creating jobs and well-being. Then, we continued our work by bringing back the joy of simple, almost trivial things: taking children to the park, having a nursery school for the youngest, and a center for sports. Simple things, but unfortunately, they had been denied for too long", stated the Prime Minister. Meloni then recalled the establishment of the local cultural center and the new university campus, "which will allow local students to pursue a variety of degree programs".
