It is not only energy price hikes that are weighing on Italian households, but also the difficulty in understanding bills. According to a survey by Consumerismo and WeGroup, 60% of consumers find the interpretation of energy bills complicated, a problem that adds to the growing search for solutions to reduce costs. One of the most popular strategies is joining buying groups, an option that interests 7 out of 10 Italians. At the same time, 2024 marks a record in supplier changes: 25.9% of users have changed their contract for electricity, while 21.8% have done the same for gas, a sharp increase from the previous year. Among the most active in this rush to save are 18-29 year olds, with switching rates approaching 29% in the electricity sector.
