For Federica Brignone, the Italian alpine skiing champion, a season has just come to a close in which she was able to win the overall World Cup standings for the second time - after her success in 2020 - achieve 10 victories in almost all specialties (in January, the first in her career in downhill) and put a gold medal around her neck at the World Championships in giant slalom on the snows of Saalbach (in addition to silver in super-G). A versatility that also led her to win the Downhill and Giant Slalom Specialty Cups, with performances that made her Italy's cover athlete for the upcoming Winter Olympics at home. Of course, the victories also fueled earnings through event-related prizes and personal sponsors. In the 2024/25 season Brignone also achieved her personal record in prizes and led the Prize Money Standing drawn up by the International Federation with 679 thousand Swiss francs. To these must then be added the 100 thousand francs for silver in super-G and gold in giant slalom. In total, therefore, from the sporting point of view, the performance in the race secured the Italian skier in 2025 just over 800 thousand euros. To these should be added the sponsors' fees. Il Sole 24 Ore paper calculated that this season Federica Brignone earned almost 10 million euros.
