Federica Brignone was welcomed as a true superstar in her Courmayeur, celebrated by her fellow villagers after her triumph in the Alpine Ski World Cup. Special recognition came with the naming of downhill run number 14 on Col Chécrouit, which now bears her name. "For a skier it is an honor to have a slope named after her," Brignone said excitedly, "I have competed and won here since I was a child. The new slope, with a vertical drop of 1,500 meters and a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc, is FIS homologated and promises to fascinate skiers of all levels. The ceremony was attended by local authorities, including Deputy Mayor Federico Perrin and Tourism Councillor Giulio Grosjacques, who stressed Brignone's importance in promoting Courmayeur on the international sports scene. After the inauguration, the champion "signed" the slope with a spectacular descent, leaving young fans with one piece of advice: "Have fun, make fresh snow and lots of jumps. Technique will come with time”.
