Sister Paola, the nun renowned for her social activism and devotion to Lazio, passed away at the age of 77. She had been ailing for quite some time. Rita D'Auria, who was born in Roccella Jonica (Reggio Calabria), relocated to Rome as a young woman and adopted the name Paola in honor of January 25, the day of St. Paul's conversion. An iconic figure not only in football but also in social work, she dedicated her life to assisting prisoners and victims of violence through the association So.spe – Solidarietà e Speranza ('Solidarity and Hope). Sister Paola had become a well-known face thanks to the Rai program "Quelli che il calcio".
