Yesterday, an ultralight plane crashed in the woods of Isola del Cantone, in the Genoa province. The alarm was activated shortly after 2 p.m. According to firefighters, the aircraft flew low above the trees before landing, resulting in an explosion and flames. The dense fog in the area has made rescue attempts difficult. Firefighters, carabinieri, Mountain Rescue, a medical vehicle, and the Red Cross of Ronco Scrivia all responded on the site. During the search, rescuers found the remains of the aircraft, signs of the fire, a backpack, a shoe, and two bodies.
