In a time marked by divisions and isolation, the ocean presents itself as a metaphor and model of connection: a fluid and interdependent organism, capable of uniting peoples, economies and cultures. Starting from this vision, the Sea Beyond Ocean Literacy Center comes to life as the first permanent center in Italy dedicated to ocean education. The center has been inaugurated in recent days on San Servolo Island in Venice, and its project, which was born within Sea Beyond, an initiative promoted by the Prada Group in collaboration with UNESCO's Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, stands as a new international hub for discussion, education and awareness-raising on issues related to the protection of marine ecosystems. "This place is the physical space where the motto of Sea Beyond is made concrete: learn, think, act," said Lorenzo Bertelli, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility of the Prada Group. “It is an investment in the future aimed at involving the new generations, making sustainability an accessible and stimulating theme”.
