According to the analysis, the Lombard capital ranks 11th in the top 50, with 115 thousand millionaires and 17 billionaires, only behind Chicago. Between 2014 and 2024, Milan's rich and super-rich population grew by 24%. In the mirror that exclusively features European cities, London remains the most wealthy city in Europe, with 215,700 millionaires and 33 billionaires, despite not ranking in the top 5 overall. Paris comes next. At the top of Henley & Partners’ list is New York, with 384,500 millionaires and 66 billionaires. It is followed by the Bay Area, which has 342,400 millionaires and 82 billionaires, with a 98% increase in the rich and super-rich over the last ten years. Tokyo ranks third, with 292,300 millionaires and 18 billionaires. As noted, London is the leading European city, ranking sixth overall. While Milan is the highest-ranked Italian city, the next Italian entry is Rome at 26th place.
