There were tense moments near the Olympic Stadium before the derby between Lazio and Roma which was played last night and ended in a draw (1-1). A group of about 500 Roma ultras, many with their faces covered, tried to reach the Lazio fans gathered at Ponte Milvio, but were repelled by Police after a dense throwing of objects. Other clashes also occurred at Ponte Milvio, where some Lazio fans attacked Police force among damaged cars and traffic lights nearby. The toll was 13 Police officers injured. The Central Police Station reports that despite the alert, no tangible signs of risk had emerged before the match.
