“Expo is not a social event, but a powerful political and economic tool to strengthen Italy's presence in Japan and throughout Asia”. With these words, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani officially opened the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, together with Italian Commissioner Mario Vattani and Monsignor Rino Fisichella. The Vice-Premier stressed that the pavilion represents a synthesis of Italy's past, present and future, enhancing excellence such as art, innovation and Artificial Intelligence. “All of Italy is here, including that of our young people,” he said. The Pavilion will also be a venue for business forums to support the internationalization of Italian companies. “At a time of economic tensions and risk of trade wars, we must strengthen our presence with exports. With the quality of Made in Italy we are able to break down tariff barriers, because the value of our products even overcomes the obstacle of duties”.
