He flew over Grostè in a helicopter and, after a few twirls, landed fully off the slope, under the incredulous eyes of Madonna di Campiglio Carabinieri. The protagonist of the unusual scene was a 60-year-old businessman from Brescia, who, after landing, donned skis and boots and quietly began his descent. Once stopped and identified by the military, the man admitted that he had no authorization to land beyond 1,600 meters. “I am very busy with work, but I felt like skiing,” he explained, thus justifying his choice to use his own helicopter to shorten the time. Having verified that the aircraft's license and insurance were in order, Carabinieri nevertheless fined him 2,000 euros for the unauthorized landing.
