According to an Eurispes survey, little under three out of ten Italian men (28.2%) have a negative relationship with their own bodies. In line with this data, 63.1% of respondents say they like their physical appearance, while a notable 36.9% do not. Clearly, the youngest, aged 18 to 24, value their beauty more than any other age group (71.1%). Two-thirds of Italian men (66.5%) place a high value on maintaining their physical appearance, while one in three (33.5%) does not. The majority of Italian men believe that having an attractive and performing physique is crucial for attracting a partner (67.3%). At the same time, the sample generally agrees that a man seduces more with his personality than with his physical appearance: 64.1% believe so. The majority of males (53.8%) say that having a "powerful" physique makes them appear more powerful/dominant in a group setting.Half of the respondents (49.1%) use specific products for facial care (skin-care, anti-aging), while similar figures are seen for hair removal (46.7%). Manicure/pedicure is less common (39.1%). Hair coloring is done by 24.8%, and 23.9% use tanning lamps.
