Demand for private bunkers in Italy is increasing, spurred by the winds of war, international tensions, and a growing sense of security. Companies like Northsafe, directed by Giulio Cavicchioli, and Il mio bunker, founded by Stefania Rivoltini, are seeing exponential growth in demand. Following the invasion of Ukraine, applications increased by up to 200%, with peaks of 25 requests per day following alarming news. The customers? Wealthy families, entrepreneurs, and young people with financial means. Prices range from €200,000 to €1 million for customized and complete structures, excluding masonry work. The options range from basic emergency shelters to fully equipped anti-atomic bunkers complete with sleeping quarters, dry toilets, showers, ventilation systems, food supply, and internet access. The tendency is no longer limited to Northern Italy; today, requests come from all across the country. Fear has now become a structural expense item, available exclusively to those who can afford it.
