Commitments with national teams, often seen by clubs as a nuisance, can turn into a financial opportunity. This is proved by UEFA's figures, which distributed 233 million euros to 901 clubs from 55 federations as compensation for granting its players to national teams. The contribution covers participation in the 2020/21 and 2022/23 UEFA Nations Leagues, the 2022-24 European Qualifiers, and the UEFA Euro 2024 final stage. Among the beneficiaries, numerous Italian teams stand out: Inter receives the largest share with €4.6 million, followed by Milan with €3.1 million. Overall, 35.3 million euros have been allocated to Serie A clubs. Completing the top of the Italian list are Roma and Bologna with €2.9 million, Juventus with €2.8 million, and Napoli with €2.3 million. Rounding out the top ten are Verona, Torino, Atalanta, and Empoli.
